Since upgrading to win 10 I have experience 100% usage playing Fifa 15. The card would than heat +90 degrees and screen would freeze.
I than usage Unigine Heaven and on mid settings fps was at 30-60fps and card went to 85-90 degrees
on high I would get 30fps and card over heat after 30 seconds.

specs:
cpu: i5 4460
cpu cooler: cooler master hyper 212 evo
gpu: Sapphire R9 270x vaporx
psu: Thermaltake litepower 550w
case: Gigabyte luxo m10

I used DDU to remove drivers and re-installed 15.7 ati gpu drivers.

*Windows 10 also shows "application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware" and "Display Driver Stopped Responding and Has Recovered"

I could play GTA 5, Hitman absolute before.. on windows 7. And fifa is not really demanding

Are your games all genuine? Lot of Bitcoin mining trojans out there recently, will send your GPU into hyperdrive

So you are discussing which is the best way to pirate games now?

Buy your games and avoid the problems

That was about utorrent, what has nothing to do with pirated software.

But to OT, scan for viruses as said there are a lot of bitcoin mallware out there.

Off the top of my head I can't remember which version came bundled with the hidden mining app, but then again I don't use it at all I prefer Deluge as a P2P client.

Thanks Wraith.

Really?
The question was in relation to the uTorrent client.

I had a CPU mining virus a few weeks ago on my 5820k. Should have seen the temps lol.

This was on a download of Mad Max. I played it for about thirty minutes, then went off and bought the genuine article.

Back in the day every game was released as a demo. With PC game prices on the rise I am not going to pay upward of £50 on something I will play for about five minutes. And that has been pretty much all games of late but I've bought them any way.

Haha don't even go there with the crap about morals though. I could fill my entire room with games I own. Going back to 1996.

Who said anything about "which is the best way to pirate games"?

there are those people who hear torrent and go "ARRR that be piracy matey" its annoying because it is what retailers want you to think.

Now asking some one if they pirated a game because if they did that is probably why the gpu is getting hammered, and then mentioning that some torrent clients will make you mine is not discussing "how to pirate a game"
If anything its saying dont pirate a game. and be careful of the app you use for torrents.
I share a lot of stuff i make my self. i also share freely distributable mod's etc in a single pack for people who use my game server. google plus is used for some of it "the smaller packs" but larger packages i will torrent. it is faster and people who use the game server can all seed it for the others.
the blanket TORRENTS ARE PIRACY stance is annoying.
just because some people use torrents to distribute software illegally does not mean that all torrents are piracy.
and it annoys me when people think they are.

THANKYOU
Nice to know I'm not the only one who gets annoyed about this :D

It annoys me a lot. Torrents are a great way of large file sharing due to the client ability to download, stop and resume. I used to use them for downloading large demos etc when I lived in the middle of nowhere with a crappy slow connection.

Same - It was what was being implied that annoyed me in that post. Holier than thou b.s.

Anyways. I'm on Deluge now. Sweet recommendation.

What ever happened to the demos? Used to be the main reason to buy a PC gaming mag. Now they've been replaced with (mostly paid) Alphas and Betas and pre-releases that you seem to pay full price for. You only get a demo if you pre-order. It's backwards I tell ya.

It was a great way to get to try new types of games that may not normally appeal to you.

I use bitTorrent. But the one pirated game "gta san andreas", i got by someone.
I don't see any sollutions? So please tell me what to do?

Scan for virus? Delete the game and the torrent client?
Does free antivirus work (avira)?

monitor gpu usage and cpu usage when things should be idle.
hw monitor or similar.
see if something is using stuff excessively 1st

Did that with msi afterburn and command center. Temp seems fine but cpu usage would spike to 100% for no reason. Gpu is fine (when not playing games)
