It's pretty dang quiet. It's actually a LOT quieter than my watercooling setup. How are you supposed to hook up a 24 pin psu to their 20pin psu adapter? Am I supposed to be using some sort of software in windows to monitor my vapo unit? Where can I find detailed installation directions?

If the 24-pin harness will fit into the 20-pin on the Vapo, "all" ya gotta do is make an extension for the other 4 pins and connect that to the mobo. Never tried it tho.. just works fine in theory :S

Bet theres an easier solution, I just cant think of it right now (long, bad day)

Thats what i did with my vapo PE.

plugged the 20 pins into the extension thing.

Then extended the 4 pins from the psu straight into the motherboard.

Worked fine

What else exactly do I need to hook up? I hooked up the 20pin adapter, and the mobo connectors for the power/reset switches and hdd/pwr LED's. What else is there to hook up? How do I get the front lcd to display my cpu speed? I feel like I'm missing hooking something up, like my case should be more integrated with my computer than it is. I've read that the case should turn on like 2-3 seconds before the computer tunrs on. Mine doesn't do that, it just makes a single, loud beep when I press the power button, then everything turns on at once.

The position aint the best, it can be relocated to the rear of the compressor compartment if the cables are long enough, it will get slightly hotter air but maybe better for you overall.

I have seen someone run with it on the floor as well.

Everything turns on at once? Sounds kinda like the computer boot temp is high. Either that or something aint connected right. The compressor should spin up and get the gas to operating temp before booting the computer. Tok a couple minutes on mine.

The LCD? IIRC, that only displays the evap head temp. It doesnt have enough 7-seg displays for a CPU speed.

Yeah, figured out that I need that phonejack/com port cable that goes from the chill unit to the com port. It didn't come with the vapo unit. Know of anywhere that I can get just the cable instead of paying almost $200 for everything just for the dang cable?

Gotcha, I'll give it a shot Master G! I appreciate the help from everyone. What temps should I be getting from the Vapo with the setup I have in my signature? My case is the Vapo XE

If you work out how much heat the CPU is giving out then you can work out what temps you should get from this graph:

That's exactly right. My cpu does around 130W and those are my exact temps. How many posts do you have to have before you can access the b/s/t forums?
