Got a 24" Coming!

Lucky man! Im desperate to upgrade my 20" TN (where the DVI input has broken so Im stuck with a bad implementation of VGA) to a 24" PVA/MVA (I forget which I wanted).

Ouch that sucks :(. How'd that happen?

No idea, suddenly I was getting no display signal. I thought it was the graphics card for quite a while then realised it was the monitors DVI input. I believe some DELLs had a porblem like this a long time ago (mine is a viewsonic though).

Either way, as prices come down and I save up, I'll be able to get a new one before summer (I hope).

Welcome to the 24" club, every girl that comes into my room comments on my massive monitor...

Thing is, you need uber gpus to game at this res!

Enjoy :)

Well Crysis still looks lush @ 1680 x 1024 (or whatever it is). My 24" monitor almost makes me want to go SLI, but the cost of a new PSU and another 8800GT puts me off.

£200, that`s crazy talk !

I know, it makes me jealous. Ive got my eye on this as its the only 24" non TN monitor vaguely affordable.

Its no top brand, but apparently its pretty good anyway and for about £200 less than most other, you can't expect the world.

That is what I have. I got it for £211 on sale, and I am very pleased with it. I have ended up with a PVA panel that is found in the BenQ FP241W and LG L245WP which are both over £400. But it is pot luck with panels. If you look on their forums there is a big thread about the monitor and it is worth a read before you buy.

Haha yeah. I think my 8800GTS 640 will be OK w/CoD4, TF2 & CSS for now. I'll get a 9 series someday.
