Good smartphone for under £200

WHat about an Xperia model? They give you quite a lot of spec for the money compared to other brands and they have a phone is pretty much every price range.

+ They have really good audio if you're like me and use your phone to listen to music ;) Think my next phone might be an Xperia...

Nexus 4 is out of stock, any others you would recommend? Or should I just wait?

Wait it out mate, definitely worth the wait, found this anyway http://crave.cnet.co.uk/mobiles/google-nexus-4-delivery-is-less-than-48-hours-not-1-2-weeks-50010320/ So all might be ok :P

The theme is horrible though :( And my GNex has an even better sound than my 4S imo, so the N4 should be no exception although the beats audio stuff on HTC's is pretty good.

Well I just ordered the Nexus 4, £250, which I feel is an epic price for a phone which most sites consider to be a serious contender for the best phone around.

Big thanks to you guys for recommending it :)

Hope you like it mate! :) I was having the same problem a couple of months ago, SavageCupcake might remember? It said "Out of Stock,Check back Soon" for about 28 days, I flipped and got the GNex. Kicking myself now haha :p

Nothing with "samsung" written on it. Cheapest crap going. Always have been, always will be. As far as mobile phones are concerned anyways.

You have like 3 options in my opinion...

Apple - iOS
HTC - Android/Windows
Nokia - Windows

You could wait and check out what handsets are released with Ubuntu too.

EDIT: Should have read the entire topic before posting.

Chris.

Well you are just plain wrong :L The Galaxy S3 is the best phone around and that is samsung, the note 2 is also amazing and is again Samsung

Press the home button on them... That alone makes them not an option in my opinion.

Decent specs are always ruined by tacky build quality with Samsung handsets. If build quality isn't really a concern of yours then thats fine, but theres no disputing that the 3 manufactures i mentioned all have better quality devices.

I remember this :P. The gnex is still a good phone mate :)

Not all of their phones have the home button ;) Although, I have to say, my phone does make some interesting noises when its being gripped tightly

Indeed it is :P Got it fairly cheep too which I'm happy with, and performance wise I haven't got any qualms with although it can be a bit choppy when locking-unlocking in quick succession. Might just be android though, I've had iOS since 2.2, glad to have android back :p Looking forward to Ubuntu for phones too!

Could try rooting it and overclocking it if its a bit choppy? I can't wait for ubuntu on phones either just to try it out :D Doubt it'll make me switch from android but it'll be nice to see something different.

True, although that would affect battery life wouldn't it? Yeah, it looks pretty cool, you can dual boot on phones right? ;)

You set it for a minimum clock and max clock. It'll only go up to max clock when it needs it. I set my htc wildfire to 742 mhz max and 51 mhz min. Normally sat around 120 mhz. Only on certain phones but im pretty sure the gnex can dual boot :)
