Good PSU for under £100, RM750W?

I recently built a new PC but the XFX 750W pro PSU I bought from maplin has died on me after a few months. I sent it back under their "no quibble guarantee" and after 9 days mapin told me the best they can do is I can pay an extra £7 to "upgrade" to a Corsair CX750 or take a refund. They will not budge on this stance. So I guess I will be getting my money back. /end rant.

I'm hoping to SLI the GTX 760 in the future so I need 4 PCIe connectors. Modular would be nice seeing as space is tight in my case and the XFX was a challenging routing cables. I will do doing some mild overclocking, nothing outrageous as I'm air cooling.

TL/DR:
Im looking for a new PSU for under £100 to power:
Asrock extreme4
i5 - 3570K
GTX 760 gigabyte windforce (SLI in future)
256gb OCZ SSD boot drive
500gb WD black storage HD
6 120mm fans

I like the 5 year warranty and flat cables on the new RM750 from corsair but there are very few reviews seeing as its so new. HX750? XFX 750 XXX semi-modular? Any suggestions most welcome, thanks.

XFX PSU's are terrible, we had two catch fire here.

Id get a refund dude, the RM series is built to be insanely quiet and with a 5 year waranty at that price youd be daft not to consider it.
If you dont like the cables you can get individually braided cables for the AXi's and they work fine but considering youve been using an XFX you probably wont care.


Theres not many reviews yet because of shipping problems, Ive only just got mine but they have spent a LOT of time on the tiniest details so Id be willing to take a punt and say it will do more than youd expect from it.

XFX units are just re-badged Seasonic's though, strange to hear of two going so badly wrong like that.

Not just rebadged mate. Thats a very uneducated persons way of looking at it.

Care to educate then? I'd been going by JonnyGuru's reviews with the likes of the XFX Core being a Seasonic S12II, Black Edition being a Seasonic M12D and the Pro units being Seasonic X series.

I know they're not 100% identical but they're pretty much the same I thought.

Thanks for the replies and even one from The Boss I've decided to get a Seasonic M12ii. I like the flat cables on the RM series but after this problem and not having my PC for two weeks I decided to go with a brand with a good reputation and they have been making them long enough that they should have all the production issues worked out by now. At least I hope so. As for the cables? I can use extension cables if need be, but for now my rig is under my desk so its not a big deal.

I've installed my new Seasonic M12ii http://www.scan.co.uk/products/750w...-120mm-silent-fan-sli-xfire-atx12v-eps12v-psu First impressions? Cables are short, I have a mid tower and I needed an extension for the 8 pin CPU plug. Other than that its quiet and the unit itself is smaller than the XFX I had and now I can mount an intake fan at the bottom.
