Good Isp Cause Pipex Are Rubbish

but avengeruk moved away from idnet, got the same problems on entanet then moved back and its fine - doesnt seem to be any ping problems on www.idnetters.co.uk (idnet forum) anymore since about october last year

Probably because the new moderator/admin flamed anyone who posted a problem on the forum linking to his sticky telling them to do a 10minute router restart.

normally a 10 minute reboot does the trick for me :)

I had loads of pm's from people when I left saying they were going to leave, not just because of the problems but because of a certain moderator flaming their posts.

If you're happy to leave your router off for 10minutes to maybe fix ping problems then I guess it's up to you, but if you have a league match it's not really much help :(

this seems to be a rare occurance but i seem to have that problem on pipex, im leaving pipex if i can cause of the 4gb month usage limit which i always exceed. i have very high ping, it is 300ms on bf2142, webpages like hotmail take weeks to load, google is slow. msn also disconnects every 5 mins and xfire also disconnects randomly.

is this a non fixable service or will moving to another provider make it better.

cheers

I've been with IDNET for over a year at 2 locations. At least 4 of my good mates have IDNET connections.

Any problems have been sorted very quickly and IDNET always kept me informed of the progress.

I think the phrase "can't please all the people all the time" comes to mind. But I know IDNET certainly tried to

EDIT: Unless your BT line sucks I reckon you won't see those problems on IDNET

im currently with nildram (who are part of pipex yes), but i have a 50gb cap which gets rolled over to the next month if i dont use it.

and also they deal with issues generally within 24-48 hours of an email/phone call

btw

nildram are the guys who host jolt.co.uk servers.

my pings on UK servers are about 20, and when my BT line isn't mucking up i get about 7mbps

I have been with UKFSN since September last year and my only problem is that Interleaving has been enabled for a good few months now but BT say it isnt and cant turn it off.

This is becoming a recurring problem for alot of people.
