While the first one is better imo I think it's more so that it was a new way to play GoW and how impactful the story was. So it exceeded all expectations. The new one just builds off of it so you expect the level of quality. I will say the combat is good... I won't say why though

It's an incredible game. And the free DLC that they dropped a while ago was so freakin' good, I somehow clocked more hours into that than into the main game. And the main game took me around 40-50h to complete, IIRC.

There was no dlc on the first one
ah no wonder. But it felt incomplete even though still a huge game, since some bridges said that I was blocked from travelling to these destinations etc.

From what I remember the only destination you could not reach in the first game was Asgard, outside of a handle of Atrues only story missions. Everything else should be accessible. You may not have found all the keys
