God I LOVE Asrock

DFI have gone all down the potty IMO. I remember how absolutely amazing their first few boards were ! Mind you, they were Nforce 2, and let's face it even my nan could have made a decent Nforce 2 board as the chipset was simply heavenly.

I have total faith that DFI will come out swinging within the next year or two with another amazing board....

Who remembers the SysXtreme RAM & MOSFET cooling brackets I used to make for those old A64 boards? Raise your hands!

Sold over 200 of them buggers!

Necrophilia ! haha.

I just wanted to add to this, given I have returned to Asrock..

I made a friend there (as OP) and all the time I had my board I kept in touch.

Emailed Asrock last night and this morning (Saturday) they replied, as awesome as ever.

I had a couple of concerns about my new board not supporting the 8320 "out of the box" so to speak so I emailed asking about it. Here is the reply I got.

Hello,

FX-8320 is fully supported on this motherboard since BIOS P1.30. I do not know which BIOS version will be on the motherboard that you will get. There will be a stocker on the BIOS chip, showing with which BIOS version the board was produced. If you run into any trouble with the CPU support then please let me know which BIOS version is mentioned on the sticker, and what the serial number of the motherboard is. You can find that on a yellow sticker with a barcode.

The best motherboard to overclock an AM3+ would be the 990FX Extreme9. Unfortunately it is also more expensive. I do not know how much you can squeeze out of your CPU on the 990FX Extreme3. As always, overclocking is at your own risk. Have fun! J

Best regards,

ASRock Support

I also asked about overclocking, she said the above :)

Just as awesome as ever then, ASrock, I'm happy to be back :D

I've seen alot of people being horrible about asrock (asCROCK was the worst I've seen), claiming it to be the worst motherboard company. I'm surprised people say that, I've never heard a bad thing about their customer support and I've never heard of a board failure among my gaming clan, this is unlike asus and the others (Msi has been the worst to date, I believe we've had three failures). While asrock boards certainly are not the flashiest looking, they are rather robust and well priced. The bios interface could do with some work though, it isn't the most glamorous especially compared to asus's.

I think they have changed it now dude. I know the one you mean as I had it on my MATX board but the one now looks like Star Wars

Sorry guys but some of the stuff that has been said on this thread I don't really feel is appropriate, this is a good friendly, family oriented forum and what you are proposing can be traced back here to OC3D and give us a bad rep so please some decorum huh.
