Gigabyte Z77A-UD5H Audio problems

Hi recently upgraded to a i5-3570K on the aforementioned board. I have encountered a problem to do with my headset not playing audio after resuming from "Sleep" mode. To fix this I have to restart every time i put it to Sleep, this is inconvenient and takes time. the audio set up consists of a rear panel output to speakers and a front panel headset. The lines are set as individuals meaning they output different things as the same time, I'm not sure whether this is a driver bug, a possible windows bug or something to do with board itself. Anyone experiencing similar symptoms or anyone who might have a solution please reply.

Running on Win7 64bit with Realtek audio drivers, I have tried updating from the board vendor's support page but this does not fix the problem. Any help is much appreciated.

*EDIT: Just spotted I forgot to update my sig, oh well I'll do it in the morning xD*

simples turn off sleep mode and turn off comp when not in use sleep has imho caused more issues than its worth

Well I suppose once I move over to an SSD boot drive, there won't be much difference between a shutdown and Sleep in terms of time. i'm up to date with drivers, but i'm think i'll backdate them from the driver disc to see if that helps. Cheers

What sleep state are you using in the bios ? S1/3/5 ? You can sometimes have problems with mobos that promote being able to charge/use devices whilst the main computer is asleep/off.

In theory, but it is more likely related to the SLEEP mode. Get an SSD, they're cheap nowadays, and you don't have to worry about boot times, it comes to around 15 seconds. DO NOT USE SLEEP MODE. Mine used to do it too, and I have Asus Xonar DX sound card, so I don't think better soundcard will resolve the issue.

Yeah I recently got a Samsung 830, So theres not much difference between sleep and a coldboot, only problem is it loads into windows so fast, the LAN driver hasn't got time to initialise properly and I have to wait a few seconds extra. XD
