Gigabyte Z270X Ultra Gaming Preview

It's an improvement but what kills it is RGB lighting.

IMO there's nothing wrong with a plain black motherboard with no RGB lighting.

playing around with my Gigabyte Z270X Gaming K5 atm lol cant wait til I get a Kaby Lake for it for now its on Sky Lake

Wonder how long before someone jumps on this stating "looks good but has RGB lighting so will not buy".

I think we are at a point where the additional cost of rgb led is totally negligible and is used as a selling factor now. It's so common place these days.

I've been looking at this one and the new RoG IX. Both look very appealing.

actually enjoying the RGB on the board I have mine set for cpu temp. I'm liking it so much I'm strongly considering a case change to the Crystal 570X with some of the Corsair RGB fans.

I have been using RGB LEDs for years and they lose their magic after about a day.

Mine are active too, so interact with games and stuff too. IE in Dying Light and the Metro games if I turn on a flashlight they all turn white. If you fall from a decent height they pulse red and if you have a zombie after you they turn green.

All great fun for about ten minutes.

I don't do any of that cr*p mine are set to a static white, Cause IMO white is the best colour and it doesn't bleach anything out not like colours.
