I have a lot to ask about this motherboard and hopefully someone on here could kindly help me out.

First off I would like to say that my motherboard has not long died and I have just bought a replacement for it a few hours ago. What I would like to know is if my new motherboard is better than my other one and will it run well with my current system.

My current PC specs:

Processor: Intel Core i5 760 @ 2.80GHz

Memory: Rendition by Crucial 2GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model RM25664BA1339 (I have two of these)

PSU: Novatech 600W Power Station

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 5670 512Mb Memory

New Motherbord: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128533&pf_rd_i=468294

Old Motherboard: http://www.foxconnchannel.com/product/Motherboards/detail_overview.aspx?ID=en-us0000500

A huge thanks if anyone could help me out.

Yeah thanks for that haha, stupid mistake to make.

Since the one i have bought is useless and i will be returning it. Could you recommend one for me for that price which will work well with my system?

tbh the H55 1156 boards look pretty thin on the ground. It might be worth a look on eBay, as long as you go with Gigabyte or Asus you should be ok.

Ebuyer seem to have a few Intel 1156 socket boards, don't have any experience with them but Intel generally make good if not particularly exciting boards.

What a don't understand is how do i know if i am getting a good motherboard, like could i get a £30 motherboard which will work great and fast on my system as apposed to a £70 one. I've never been able to understand how you determine what motherboards are fast/good performance.

Like graphics cards can easily sorted into high and low performance.

Lastly does it really matter what motherboard i get because all i need is to be able to use my system to its full potential and play casual games like Skyrim on medium to high quality with no FPS lag.
