Gigabyte reveal what looks like a GTX 1080Ti

he says 1080 in a different way to the rest of his script, that and the 2 x 8 pins its a Ti imho

If it was just a 1080 then he wouldn't have said they can't tell you what it is as it's not released by NVidia until later on...

You do know that people can say that just to make you even more curious...

They can - but why would they? There's no need in this instance. It adds nothing to it if it's a plain 1080 - it also takes nothing away from it so there's no reason for just adding hype. Dimitri is usually pretty good with avoiding BS.

Yes he could be wrong but so could the other site.

I suspect this is just another 1080. Gigabyte are known for staggering their GPU releases and announcing multiple versions using the same core periodically. Could be a Ti, though.

Gigabyte, where you get an extra bonus included with the graphics card: Free coil whine all for your extended gaming sessions.

I've had 4 of their graphics card in a row that coil whine, that was just the last straw for me. Won't ever buy their crap again.

Yup, same here... Got the Gigabyte GTX 980Ti G1 Gaming after I had watched JayzTwoCents video on it. Nothing wrong about this video or anything, just really fell in love with how silent it was under full load compared to the founders edition 980Ti at the time.

But when got it, instant massive coil whine that just made my ears bleed

Hehe I did the exact same thing! I was like.. OMG this thing is so silent MUST BUY! And I was so disappointed when I first got, not only did it sound like a jet engine in use, but also extreme coil whine. Got it swapped for another one, did the exact same thing except this one coil whine both in idle and under load. Yep that was a winner!

I also like how they have written on their website "our own binning process ensures the best chips in our GPUs"...

I had a GTX 770 4GB Windforce very briefly and wow, The coil whine made the cats next door cry XD

I've had two Gigabyte Windforce X3 cards and neither whined. But my brother's did. My ASUS Strix DC3 cooler whines, though, in some games.
