Gigabyte Radeon 6950

I have two Gigabyte Radeon 6950's and I was wondering if these could be mounted to them as there is nothing else on the market. People say they have successfully used these on there non-reference cards but haven't said what maker.

well i'd say no, as there for 6970's. i wouldn't take the risk

Best thing to do is email EK. The main thing to note is there are different pcb cards so you have to make sure yours are reference first....

6970 and 6950 do have very similar pcb's though and some brands make blocks that fit both cards.

I had two MSI 6950's 2Gb reference cards and the EK FC 6970 fitted like gloves on them !

I did check EK cooling config and it said there were no full coverage options for this card.

Yeah its the windforce from gigabyte , and i think they dont make blocks for them because your coolers is only attached to the card by the four holes around the GPU , the V2 block has 10 mounting holes that might be the reason !

It might be phisically possible , but the weight of the waterblock isnt equally spreaded over the entire card , will not make proper contact on the vram and vrm's and may dammage your PCB .

Perhaps i could be wrong , so wait a bit for more advise from the community !
