hopefully its within 95% of the raw performance of the bigger brothers, and signalling the end of mid level boards in the 150+ price bracket, especially for intel based boards.
so whats really missing, sure a couple of sata connections, meh
i guess it all comes down the the overclocking potential.. hopefully its decent. cant wait for the following review.
Hmm nice prices ...
What's about to come as standard on mobos, that these won't have, that'll make the next round come out at £200++ ? ...... I wonder ....
Been a while since I bought a Gigabyte mobo. Nothing 'against' them perse, I have actually bought many in the past, just been impressed by MSI and ASRock of late.
This board looks promising, but I have interesting experiences with sound on Sniper.
I owned Sniper M5 with Recon3D and the sound overall during listening the music was too bassy for me.
I must through control panel THX TruStudio Pro reduce the bass on minimum.
Now I have borrowed a rig with Sniper B5 with Realtek ALC898 and OP-AMP and must to say the music is more balanced and with more clarity.
On Sniper M5 I had tried only OP-AMP equipped from manufacturer, not the second one from the page.
It's probably mainly sound chipset for games?
Now I'm wondering to buy new Sniper Z87, but little afraid about Recon3D and it looks like Sniper B5 is now probably better choice?
Is there something what I must to turn off in Control Panel or is Recon3D really worse sound chipset than Realtek ALC898?
What are your opinions on Recon3D?
