Gigabyte G1 Sniper 3

Just read about 3 new motherboards coming from Gigabyte, one of them is the topic title obviously. Anyway, what's your thoughts around it and have you heard anything more about the Z77 chipset?

(I guess I'm just one of the "kids", but I actually hope they do continue with their "ugly" gun styled heatsinks for the mobo).

There is also a new UD5H and UD3H board inc.

No rumors, certain people, mainly high profile overclockers have had Z77 boards for a while, RawZ from Aria has one IIRC.

They wont be to much different from Z68 boards though they will just have a few different features which will be under NDA until Ivy Bridge is released.

I'm planning on selling my 775 kit and upgrading to Ivy Bridge / Z77, so I hope more information will surface soon.

Rumour is they will be released early April, would be great if they would also be available by then.

I did hear somewhere there will be an mATX G1 board coming with the new chipset release. Could be a good seller with all the LAN gamers.

Definitively, an awesome motherboard within a little LAN case would not hurt to have. I think the new Bitfenix Prodigy looks pretty good. When I go somewhere I always need to drag my heavy rig around =P

There really isn't much to talk about. It's the z77 chipset. ._.

Compared to z68, pci e 3.0, usb 3.0, no pci. Unless you're interested in that, I don't think there's a lot to talk about.

have to wait till april now guys, they was all ready to ship 77 at the start of the year and then intel said no we will launch the boards and cpu at the same time :/
