This was talked about by Balilu and now this has been released.

Soz for the lateness...I've been...ummm...reading ;)

Its got SLi support and blistering performance. Looks to be a great investment!!

Stock reference speeds: 400MHz core and 1000MHz DDR (500MHz) memory, although this will be stepped up by companies such as XFX (450/1050) and BFG (425/1050) :D

So fewer pixel pipelines than the GTX but still the same core. Looking good for you money too:

there is slightly less power inside the GPU, but it can still write the same number of pixels to memory per clock cycle. If we translate this in to the real world, the GeForce 7800 GT will shine in games that are fill rate limited and it'll perform very closely to the GeForce 7800 GTX. However, it will begin to suffer (in comparison to the flagship GTX) in newer games that are shader intensive and rely on multiple passes through the pixel shader, or in games that are heavily geometry bound.

So there ya go. Not quite as powerful but will still kick ass!! w00t!

Also the price drops bring the 6800GT down to a damn reasonable £200(ish) in the UK and the 6800NU also comes down to prices similar to what the 6600GT's are nw. Looks like some of you should be picking up some bargains!!

Looks very similar to the 7800GTX - but without the heatpipes.

Uk Prices:

Inno3d: £280

Leadtek: under £300

XFX: £316 approx

BFG: £320 approx

Conclusion:
In some cases, a single XFX GeForce 7800 GT is able to keep up with a reference clocked GeForce 7800 GTX - slightly slower, but not a great deal behind it. The gap is even closer, and XFX's card actually performs better than a reference GeForce 7800 GTX in some instances too.

BFGTech's GeForce 7800 GT OC does the basics right - the warranty is unmatched in the industry at the moment, but they haven't done much more than the basics with this video card. The card is marketed as an overclocked GeForce 7800 GT - that's true, but there are faster cards out there, as we have shown today with XFX's 7800 GT.
So basically this card rocks. There won't be a game to challenge this thing for about 3-6months (although FEAR may prove a little challenge when its out). But seriously - these cards are great vfm and ATI really are going to have to lower the prices on their x850xt PE to even compete in the vid card market.

The GT is a great card and if you're looking for a performance vid card then look no further!!

PHEW!!!!!!!!! I was not sleeping hoping that nvidia would not outdate my card..... WHEW sigh of relief... :rotfl:

There ya go guys... a less expensive KICKASS card!
