Hi guys
I've been looking into watercooling (Only my CPU really as the 7870 Tahiti doesn't appear to have a proper cover, only Generic GPU block, and as a n00b i didn't really want to get into fiddling with the other parts of the GPU)
So, my question is. If i were to give this a go and change out the H100i i have
Is is possible to leave a loop, not really doing anything for long periods of time?
From my research i've found it seems okay if you use distilled water, keep it out of sunlight to be cautious and use the chemicals (if any...) then you don't have to worry too much about bacteria (although the distilled water should keep this away) or anything else.
Or the other alternative i guess would be to use it over the summer, if i can find a decent kit or parts for something not out of my price range, and then (within the loop) empty it all out and not use the PC for the time i'm away, and then refil when needed.
Before any of you suggest, i take it to Uni - i didn't really think it worth it particularly for my first year. As i'll probably be spending the majority of my time elsewhere
Thanks guys (i realise this is a long post for a seemingly simple question, figured i'd just add some background to it)
