if i change it to anything higher (for more OC) its unstable, for even 1 voltage tier less its unstable after posting

3.4Ghz on an unlocked x3 435 isnt bad IMO

is the cpu watercooled

i have only seen the 965 do 4gz on like 1.5v

yes both cpu and morthborad i can get to 4.000ghz and closs to 4.10oghz the pc truns off on me

Need more details on what settings you are at already tbh. If you say auto - go sit on the naughty step.

i dont no if i can do it my self as my bios when i get the motrthboard as the new bios and not the one that comes on the morthboard

I got a 965 a year ago...and just for fun tonight I was able to run it at 3.8ghz at 1.4-1.43volts (the bios ups the voltage to 1.42-1.43 during prime even if I set the voltage manually). EDIT: Just got a BSOD in BFBC2... v.1.4 is not enough...

On the other hand, last time, to run it stable during prime at 4ghz, I raised the voltage to ~1.5volts and beyond... My cooling setup and ambient temperature were different at the time, though. In both cases, I was running 64bit windows.
