Geforce 8xxx or Geforce 9xxx

Any one help me with, i am think about getting the Geforce 9800GX2 is it worth it or should i get 2 Geforce 8xxx for my upgrade btw i am going to upgrade to a Q6600 or better as well.

Will you be ocing your q6600? The intel chipsets are better at ocing a quad, and therefore you will be limited to 1 9800GX2. If your not, then it depends which 2 8xxx cards you will be SLIing.

i was thinking of the 8800GTs

I am going to be gaming and doing a lot of video editing and graphics editing and i am running a 22" widescreen monitor and 15"monitor (soon to be second 22")

So just wondering what card would be better and thought would ask the best :worship:

9800GX2 imo. The GT's while quick and score well in benchmarks, they don't have the grunt of the GX2 at a decent res along with AA/AF. I didn't think you could have SLI and a dual monitor setup anyway?

I remember someone telling me that Nvidia never fixed SLI working with Dual Monitors, so go 4 the 9800GX2!

yea i know you cant use SLI and do dual monitors but have had very bad day aint thinking straight lol.

9800GX2 it is then and btw first time using dual monitors and im loving it lol. Time to raise the funds now lol

Btw a great program for dual monitors is UltraMon.
