Gaming Monitor

Hi,

Been browsing your forums for a gaming monitor recommendation. My budget is ideally below £200 and I mainly play FPS such as CSGO.

I have found three options

Stood out because of price-
http://www.cclonline.com/product/68...te-X2377HDS-23-inch-LED-IPS-Monitor-/MON0594/

Liked the low response time-
http://www.amazon.co.uk/VE248H-Wide...&qid=1377733779&sr=8-1&keywords=Asus+VS248H-P

Seems to be one of the most recommend on the site-
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-UltraS...733418&sr=8-2&keywords=Dell+UltraSharp+U2412M

One other thing, is it worth spending abit more and getting a 120mhz even if I'm not planning on using a 3d option?

I would personally go for the Asus, simply because it's a good brand, has a low response time and it's so much cheaper than the Dell. It will serve you more than fine. Unless, of course, you want to tilt, turn and adjust the height of your monitor a lot. In that case pick the Dell.

120Hz could be nice if you're playing competetively but won't add much if you're just a casual gamer. It is a nice and smooth experience though (when your PC can handle it, at least. But judging from your other thread it'll be more than fine ;)) and you definitely don't want to go back to 60Hz after having owned a 120Hz monitor.

1 vote for the dell from me. (I'll be picking up a couple more at some stage as well)

edit: Just realised i don't have my screens in my sig.. must fix that

Thanks for all the info and recommendations but i think im going to go for the acer rather than the dell because it has features i probaly wont use and i can save some cash.

I would advise you to save up a little more and go for something like the BenQ xl2411t. I bought that model a month ago and all the people who say that there is a huge difference are right. It feels smoother but the bad thing is that you get used to it after a few days and its not so exciting anymore
