Hey, this is my first time posting on here so dont be too brutal with me

So far SPS and I have put together a list of components for the PC using aria. As i am limited to around £650 i will be sacrificing some GPU power with the mind to upgrade after christmas. so far this is the list of components we have compiled

850W Corsair HX Series Modular £124.56

Zalman Z9 plus £47.99

ASUS P8P67 Intel P67 £107.99

Samsung SH-D163C/BEBE SATA £12.17

500GB WD Black SATA III £42.54

i5 2500k £155.99

8GB G.Skill RipJawsX (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz 8-8-8-24 Dual Channel Kit £58.39

Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 6770 OC £105.59

I also plan to overclock, but i will be buying a new cpu cooler before doing this.

The thing SPS and i found was that the bundle deals seem alot better value for money but i am wanting to check with you guys to see if it really is a better option.

This is the bundle deal

Gladiator Z68 Core i5 2500K 4.50GHz Overclocked

it comes with a much better cooler and an already overclocked processor. so would save me alot of time and possibly money. it only comes with 4GB of ram and ideally i need 8GB so i would by another 2 2GB Mushkin Blackline #996659B (2x2GB). which would cost another £31.19 so the price would end up slightly over what i started with by going for this deal.

I have also looked into the graphics card and i am unsure the 6770 is the best graphics card i can can get for around £100, possibility of an nvidia?

What do you guys think about this and is there any better deals you know of?

Looks pretty good, for gaming though you want at least a 6870 or 560 graphics card. Also for the CPU cooler the NH-D14 is the way to go for silent cooling.

The GPU he will be using will be temporary to play games up until Dec/Jan so I thought that a 6770 would be fine to play games at a moderate frame rate.

Yeah we have already discussed the NH-D14

Im not too sure about zalman cases stretch £10 to a cm 690 ii advanced the psu is overkill and overkill again a corsair hx750w will suffice

Yeah I know but crossfire might require a bit more power.

I just want him to be future proof as much as possible

then maybe the tx850 is pretty similiar £20 quid cheaper and the newer ones are modular.

Oh and aria are selling some decent 8gb of ram for £30

as for that temporary gpu, you may be able to either get a cheaper elsewhere. i have seen a hd 6770 at around 85 quid at overclockers and a hd 5830 there for £110. you may be able to find a hd 5770 or gtx 460 for cheap somewhere as they are last generation cards and you will lose no performance as the 6770 is a rebranded 5770 and the gtx 460 is better than the hd 6770
