Games - Core support

That's real tricky.

I mean the shot is a good one, but even if the game was using cores effectively, the proof isn't there.

I don't know how u can make this effective. I know I can tell by sitting in front of the thing for a period of time.

Have a feeling logs will come into it.

That's what I was saying lol. I think Lynx mentioned a good program Core Temp which we sure have all used and it's FREE for download for anyone. Perhaps you could have a go at logging. The only thing that gets me is the layout of the export log. I hate spreadsheet layouts especially when they reach like 8 pages:P

The logs never end and the become large rather quick! Quite annoying.. But just CTRL+F your way to the time you want.

Having a dualscreen setup and an eight threaded beast I could try the multicore games.

Can say SupCom definitely isn't multicore though. Iirc is uses one core for sound/graphics and one for AI.

I found Crysis to be more for Dual Cores than Quads. Hardly touched my second pair of cores.

The game that impressed me the most when it comes to taking advantage of Cores is GTA IV. I was getting 80% CPU usage which would mean GTA was using at least all of 3 Cores. Impressive I think. :)

I think that this ought to be something to work into the Game reviews that we are now starting to put together. Would be ood IMHO.
