Galaxy S3/jellybean music player app needed

to me it sounds like spending your time to do google and samsungs job for them then tbh.

Well so in that regard I spent a good few hours overclocking my cpu to gain extra performance out of it so I was doing intel's job then yeah?

It takes like literally 5 minutes

For somone that's never done it before? Does that include researching what to put on it as well as actually doing it?

The vast majority of people buying an S3 are not going to root it.

False analogy as you've introduced drawbacks as well as benefits, whereas what I was quoting was only focussed on benefits of rooting the phone.

Rooting is similar to overclocking as it is always good although can cause unstbility

And tbh I would say a very large amount of people buying an S3 would root it

Ah so it's not all rosey. As I said before I have no interest in phones so I wouldn't know/care.

A large amount of people will root it, yes, but only because of the volume of sale. Most people that buy android phones will fall into two camps:

-not tech-savvy enough to do it
-doesn't care about it/ have time/inclination to research it

I get the feeling I'm offending the android enthusiasts but you guys need to take your android goggles off and put my interaction design monocle on.

-I dropped my iphone 3gs in the toilet (lol) and needed a replacement.
-Everyone was raving about the S3, I checked the specs, looked at the features, I can write a bit of java so I thought I might try my hand at making an app some time etcetc
-The phone turned out to not play music properly, ever. (OOTB experience), I couldn't find a decent music app.
-The usability of the phone when typing in landscape (I always text in landscape) absolutely infuriates me.
-All I want to do on my phone now is text and call people. Every time I text I hit the context menu button with the inside of my knuckle several times and end up insert smileys/sounds files/viewing contacts etcetc.

When I say a large amount of people I mean a large percentage of people, it really is very popular, and I am by no means an Android enthusiast, I got my Nexus 4 a few weeks ago and it is the first Android phone I have owned
