G80 News

[WC Annihilus]

Just a little teaser from rumors. Looks like this thing will be coming around April to June or so, will be dual-core, have clocks around 800 mhz, have Shader Model 4.0 support, be in the 80nm process, and possible have GDDR4 memory.

they will be the first true dual-core GPUs, as opposed to multiple cores per PCB and SLI

M2 doesn't interest me nearly as much as the G80 does

M2 isn't going to bring a whole lot to the table as far as performance increases so I'll probably stay 939 for as long as possible.

The G80 on the other hand looks so uber promising I'll be camped out on Newegg's site awaiting the release With any luck it will retain the same mounting and ram placement as the G70 so that I can continue to use my DD waterblocks with them.
