G.Skill Or Crucial?

Cooler? lol, its ram.

Crucial produce some of the best kits around. G.Skill are pretty good too, but given the choice I'd take microns own brand every time.

Hang on a sec, that is 2x1GB Ballistix modules, correct? I know a friend.. he had them for three months and they failed on him. The double sided Ballistix models are the better ones to have... unfortunately they're quite expensive now as they only do them in the 2x2GB configs.

i mean running wise

they dont heat asmuch

i'd have my old G.Skills back over my crucial ...

more stable at higher frequency's, and dont emit asmuch heat

I know what you meant. Ram barely needs heat spreaders, its just not an issue. Micron ain't stupid, they use the best chips on their sticks. I've got 2 Ballistix DDR2 kits here which have been stressed to hell and back, and have come out the other side smiling.

The OP would be happier with either tbh, but crucial get my vote. And even if they do break, you got a life time warranty and they go back to a UK address. So it don't cost you more to RMA than it would to buy a new set.

Thanks for your replies, but that wasnt really my question :P

I was asking why the price difference??

Ive got the ballistix im just wondering why the gskill is so much cheaper! same specs...

:)
