also unless applications take full control of thetwo cores, which most applications dont, most application which use the singles core are only effectivly using a 3500+

Ran prime95 and sandra burn in lastnight 17 x 200 3400

it ran for 7hrs 41mins before I got up and had absolutley no errors :) so that was good but the problem is the mach2 displays -44 smart gardian was showing +12 degrees noooooooo
 
Also on a side note I am going to charge up another mach2 GT with 507 and give that a blast oh yeah baby!!!
 
Be nice to see what cooling that guy was using to get 3.7Ghz, only thats wot you would expect given that most FX55 SD's under phase will do 3.5Ghz.

Cant wait to see wot Fatty gets under r507 though.

That 32 superpi score is awesome though at 3.5Ghz my FX55 SD did it in 21.58s 200Mhz = over a minute quicker :D tempting, if only 3.7ghz was the norm :(

If I only had a spare chilly1 unit grrrrrrrrrr I am sure those speeds will be attainable the guy that got 3700 was usind dry ice to cool his chip
 
Buy yer own looool I am going to test it with the same cooling (well near enough cos I can tune it ) to yours mav :) mach2 gt r507 although nick does have a chilly1 bettter temps loooooooool:D
 
LOOOOOOL well may build me one when my new case gets here :) just got a load of work on at the mo so will settle for a fatty tunned gt :)
 
You forget I have the 7800's to try so it'll be good - for me ;)

I think it would be good for the Fourms to have these shares of hardware.

Perhaops we should have a benching pool of kit - help keep the cost down - a timeshare perhaps?

Maybe an EP-UK duel head sli unit plus a cascade however there are plans of building a single stage high pressure unit with temp similar to a cascade :) oh you know you neeeeeed one :)
 
Yes mine will sit happy in windows at 3.7 and I can suicide shot 3.8 but wont even run superpi stabley at 3.5. My best voltage seems to be 1.65-1.7 but above that the chip or mobo craps out and resets - I think the r507 Mach 2 can take more. I'm not sure whether it's worth burning in at 3.4ish or trying for higher for now then burning in if i can get 3.5-6 stable.
 
Yeah I am still playing I can enter windows at about 3.6 ish but nowt still just burning and playing around 3.4 an a half :) the mach2 gt R507 holds the temps at bay you might find more luck with one as well :)
 
Guys you all need chilly1 units. There happens to be one in the classifieds ;)
