try & find max the cpu will run at with FSB at 200, then balance fsb & multi for max rather than increasing mem timings

Hey Skinny! 3500 huh? Damn fine...does it feel like the CPU has more in it? ie...does it JUST scrape over the benches at that speed, or sail through smoothly? 4GHz?

All of a sudden my Winchester at 2880 with 512 cache feels very small and pitiful :o As does my wallet. :p

I got a 55SD & I found 1.65 - 1.68 is just right because thats when my GT can just about cope & the cpu temps reach 3-4 degrees

What r u using, a standard GT or a 507 beast?

Fatty mate, volts for me at max overclock are 1.65v (1.45 x 113%) using P&PC PSU, if you are using a different make, it's more likely to be 1.7v.

Keep going my friend - the force is strong with you!!

@ Living Large - my FX55 SD shows -16 in BIOS fully overclocked mate (r507) your temps seem a little high, could be the heatspreader on the chip misaligned?

I don't thinks it is I get idle temps of -26 in windows & sits around -17 to -18 in bios...

I got 80lbs of pressure on this badboy

, do you thinks thats enough?

My main problem is the 14X multiplier won't let me get into windows at whatever FSB!

I got a screenshot at 3.78Ghz, but formated the hard drive for benching before copying to here

I've been hearing that stock volts up to 1.65 on the San Diegos isnt making much difference - can you verify this? They are damn toasty, certainly on first inspection under water. I've managed to get 3.08ghz out of mine so far, but it was unstable - plenty of things still to test however, although I think this is the limit with the asus mobo.

Do you guys think the AMD64 X2 4800+ will reach more or less those speeds? After all it's same 0.09, SOI and dual stress liner technology, along with 1Mo L2 cache.

iv been over at xtremesystems most of teh nigth reading up and fcuk me there are some nice scores be had like this one of an fx 57 @ 3.7ghz 32mb pi stable!!

Much lower mate. I'd be happy with anything over 3Ghz with an X2 although why anyone would buy a 4800+ over a 4400+ is beyond me unless they're rolling in it.

You've got two cores so one may be a dud while the other a good-un.
