Futuremark release 3DMARK version v2.3.3663 with Vulkan support

I blame MS for DX 12. Overhyped it and it seems virtually dead

All promises. Better CPU handling, better mGPU support etc etc. Left it all in the hands of devs who don't need to use it to make games on consoles = bad.

It didn't really even bring any graphical improvements either, which shows how badly had we have been by it. It's almost like they took everything that could be problematic and annoying, promised it would all work straight to the metal and then nothing happened.

I really couldn't care now. Vullan games apparently work in Linux, so by the end of this year I could switch all of my PCs over, barring maybe one.

Well graphics were never promised. I think better-optimized games were in addition to games growing in complexity as the API could handle it. Now better optimized in turn means you can up graphic settings, but the idea is that the "ultra/max/etc" settings would be more optimized to begin with.

Either way,
Viva la Vulkan:D
(or whatever the phrase is)
