Future plans:)

Hi Guys,

I just started planning my upgrades for my build:)

And I'm thinking about watercooling GPU, and I'm really unhappy that there is no full cover water block for my Matrix(even for DCII there is waterblock from EK

)So I think to change my card to DCII and than put water block on it, or wait for radeon's 7000 series/nvidia 600???Not 100%sure.

Also I'm thinking of changing motherboard and watercool it as well, for example UD7 .But after my research there is no UD7 available in Scan, overclockers and Aria????Why???Does anyone know? And what benefits gives you motherboard with water block??

I will put 360? or 480? rad at the back of my case, and plus my current 240 at the front.Think it will be enought for cooling cpu, gpu and motherboard.

And the last thing.I'm gonna change styling of my room to black and white:)So I think that my rig have to match everything as well. And I'm not sure to do completly black/white or black/white with some blue addons, like thumbscrews maybe some fans will have blue led and the others white.Really don't know.

I just start with watercooling and don't know to much about it, that's why I need some help.

Thanks

1) if you going to water cooling you GPU blocks its best to all ways Look for a Block before you buy a card. And match the card to the block. Or make sure you by a Standard based card that will fit such water blocks.

2) Water block cooling is really for Looks and some times can help over clocking the board and stop it from over heating when running at high heat loads.

3) 360mm will be fine depending on which one you use. there are many to choose from.

4) Black and white is a good theme, I think black & white & Blue is awful.

As for new to water cooling you have some options there.

1) Buy a pre made kits such as XSPC or EK, or www.specialtech.co.uk they have there own pre made kits.

2) Build you own

3) Get some one to do it for you.

Thanks mayhem.

Yeah I already checked that full waterblock from EK its available for Asus DCII580, so its fine.

If 360 its fine I will be looking for RX, G-changer, or EK XTX.

Mate I already build my own watercooling rig, with custom parts I don't need to buy this kits:)Look for "H2o Green raVen" in Rig Gallery

Do you know why all shops like Scan,Aria and Overclockers don't have any Gigabyte Z68 UD7?And UD5 its on the clearance?

dunno mate i dont know much about scan or Aria but if you chat to Overclockers they may be able to help you out.

you should put a universal block on ur matrix
smile.gif
the rest of the parts on the matrix don't even get hot, the ones that do have a heat sink, but the memory for example doesn't have anything on it.

just think it'd be cool ( i was gonna do it this month when i bought my wc kit, but its too much money for the extra block + rad i would need to add
sad.gif
so maybe you can do it and it'd be sexy

)

btw i haven't checked, did you ever get ur matrix led's to stay green to match ur build ?

I'm not really fan of the universals blocks:)If I would ever watercool my card I will use full cover block mate. Now I dont think anymore about DCII 580, cuz gonna be waiting for new radeon 7970, and than we well see what gonna happend. Also I'm really interested about CosmosII, so maybe I will change my case as well, don't know yet.But I'm 80% sure that I will change collors to white and black:) Also I'm not gonna watercool my mobo cuz its no point for me(if its only for looks, I can save money on something else).

Really didnt had a time to have proper day of and just sit with my computer, so LEd are not done yet:(And anyway when now I'm looking at my rig this blue LED look nice with my motherboard blue heatsink:)
