Full Tower vs Mid Tower

so, this is my current system:

cosmos s

asus p6t deluxe

core i7 920 2.66 with vigor monsoon 3 cooler

xfx gtx 260 black edition

corsair dominator 3x1gb 8-8-8-24

corsair tx750 Watt psu

anyhow, i was thinking of selling this and getting a new build.

my current cosmos s came with a rear, front (red LED) and top 120mm fans, and a side panel 200mm fan. but i added 2 more on top, one more on the buttom, and had to remove the side fan to mount the cpu cooler. so there is a good amount of air flow in there, but much more exhaust then intake, and no vga intake fan. but i'm rather satisfied with it.

so my question is actually, do i actually need a full tower case, or for my next build should i save some dough on the case (i was thinking CM Storm Sniper) and invest in a better graphics and maybe raid.

the new build will be very similar to my current one, but with sli probably.

You already have an i7 an you are going to sell it? You're quite confusing you know that?

I'd do the following for sure:

- Pop in a 3x2GB 1600MHz kit

- Buy a second gtx260 and SLi it

And maybe:

- Watercool the whole thing for silence and/or performance

- I don't know what your current HDD setup is, but raid5 with 4*WD black 640GB would probably be enough. If you don't mind noise and cost... 2 or 4*velociraptor raid0.

I'd leave the case as it is, you aren't going to get them much better. A full tower can house way more cooling and cable management is usually easier.

Mate, if your after a Sniper TTL (tom logan) is currenty looking to sell one, he can even powder coat the internals, give him a shout if your still looking

If you have the room then full! I recently got a full tower after always having mid towers, and they are so much better, more room and better airflow
