Over the past few days, i've really been toying with the idea of building a second rig in a Bitfenix Prodigy.
The main uses for the rig:
24/7 Folding@Home
Various game servers for a max of 6 people at a time
HTPC (TV shows, DVD's, Music)
Netflix streaming
A second spare rig
A small home server for file sharing and backing up between my home PCs and laptops
Eventually, i'll stick in a GPU that can play BF3 on low/medium at 30FPS steady (GPU suggestions appreciated)
I'm thinking of upgrading my SSD soon so i'll probably throw in my 60GB Vertex 2.
Components:
CPU - Intel Pentium G840 - £54.73
Motherboard - ASRock H61M-ITX
RAM - 4GB/8GB Corsair Vengeance Black LP 1600MHz (will run at 1333MHz)
HDD - Undecided, probably a 500GB/1TB WD Caviar Green
Case - White Bitfenix Prodigy
PSU - 500w OCZ CoreXStream
OD - Already own, can't remember what brand
OS - Window 7 HP or Ubuntu
Possible GPUs:
AMD HD 6850
Total = Somewhere around £250
