For a few years now i have been using the nvidia BFG 8800 GTX on my main rig, i like this card very much as its a few years old but still manages to run the very latest games on high specs, i have been through 2 of them over the past few years, my original stopped working randomly and BFG where kind enough to replace it without warranty or proof of purchase, when it arrived it was an 8800 GTX OC so this one ran even better with an average of about 20-30 fps on most of the latest games such as metro 2033, and it was one of the first cards (to my knowledge) that supported 3D.
So anyway it was my birthday last week, i turned 18 (yay for me) so i decided i would use the money to upgrade to a new card, i decided to go for the ATI Sapphire HD6850 but was slightly unsure as to if it would make much of a difference to the quality of my gaming, and delayed installing the card for a day or so (silly me). When i finally installed it i wasnt disappointed at all, its hooked up to my 23" HD monitor and looks amazing, and my games run smoothly at a steady 60fps most of the time. One of the main things that helped me make a decision was Toms review of it on youtube which gave me a lot of info (thanks tom) and am very happy with my new card and its performance.
I see no reason to overclock it yet, but i might do in the future, like when crysis 2 comes along xD Its a good card if your someone like me looking for a good upgrade with a low budget (£135 from ebuyer) and as i think tom said in the review of it, its not a high end card, or a low end card, its just the right size and priced gpu for someone with a low budget
Definately worth the buy in my opinion. And thanks for Tom's review for helping me decide.
