I was wondering what people thought about the deals out at the mo?

You know the one......Sign up to 3 and other mobile broadband(s) and get the laptop free.

I have not done the math, does it work out to be a good deal?

Only draw back is i like to buy items with one payment rather than monthly as this would seem to be.

Don't join a company for a laptop, working out the maths... Your paying over the odds for the laptop. That's the only reason some people join these networks, it would be better to purchase a laptop and get a cheap internet provider.

If you were planning on getting mobile broadband anyway, this could be a good deal. However, they normally tie you in for a long, long contract (24 months or so) and the price of mobile broadband is likely to come down in that time, so you could be losing out.

Sounds awesome, I would guess u'd have wifi where available or 3g. Ofc all paid for within ur contract.

Before I got my HSDPA modem, I did that with my Nokia E61. It works fine.

I am on Threes mobile broadband for the internet and there a load of rubbish,

i have the e160g usb moden / on prepay / pay as you go / the contract one for 24 months beal one is a ripoff iff you go over your credit by just 1-Meg,

there charge you 1-pound for it per ((((meg))))

My experience with threes mobile broadband usb keys is that the usb key allways losers internet connection all the time and it not very fast at surfing the net it more like a 56k moden than droadband plus if you ever need 2 phone them with any enquires you have its just call centres in india,

Passing you from department 2 department.

The laptop there do are just low speck ones with no dvd-drives on them,
