Frag's spending again... *sigh* Sub-$900 Conroe Build

Yup, I broke down today and bought some parts for a new rig. I'm keeping it totally on the mad cheap though. I was able to get out with an entire rig for $898.20 shipped.

Not bad for under $900 eh? Should all be here by Thursday of next week. Big thanks to XMS and Kemp for helping me narrow down the parts for a cheap build with all quality components for the most part. Thx guys! :wavey:

It's a true addiction... After a certain point ur just can't handle it anymore and HAVE to handle some parts. At least that's how it was for me. I wonder if they have a Computer Addicts Anonymous class I can attend?

There`s a business opportunity here somewhere i can smell it - but who`s gonna wait 2 week minimum for stuffs ? Saying that Mr UPS could be used and it`d still be cheaper - UGH!!

UPS to the UK is fairly expensive, but I get a deep arse discount which might actually make it something that would be feasible but it would definately cut in to the profits quite a bit if I were to use UPS.

Yeah no kidding! I couldn't put together a nice AMD rig for this price, and it wouldn't be able to hold a candle to the power that this thing will produce with that C2D at the helm.

Yep, are you looking to overclock, I built a couple of AMD rigs for friends, and the cheaper was over 2K although it had some extra stuff, and I couldn't overclock it and use a cheap CPU.

Yeah definately looking to clock it. Hoping to get a decent clock out of it, but not expecting anything magical considering the price of the build. But rest assure, it WILL be clocked
