The R3 is the nicer case IMHO you get a lot more than you get with the 690. you get sound proof foam, better cable management with rubber gromits instead of just holes like in the 690 and it just looks sexier. But there is no room for any rads so it comes down to whether you plan on water cooling in the future or not.
Non to speak of, that i have noticed anyway. The only one I can think of is the one tom picked up on in the review about it being a tight squeeze to get a rad in the bottom with a larger PSU.
Yepp I would say the 690II if you ever want to watercool, but if you don't think you will and just want to aircool the R3 is probably the better bet. Both are good cases anyways
I have my CM690 Adv water cooled, and yes, as others have said it's a squeeze to get the PSU and dual rad at the bottom to fit in, but it's well worth it. I've had no issues with this case having upgraded it from the original CM690.
