Fractal Arc Midi build

I have a problem with the motherboard at the moment, I can make changes in the bios but nothing changes when I boot into windows. I have seen many people on other forums with similar issues with the Asus P8Z77 series.

The multiplier got stuck at 40, resetting the bios moved it back to default 38 then it was stuck at that. I ended up removing the battery, clearing BOIS then changing the settings to what I had before. They are now stuck at that.

When I have some more time I may do some more investigating, but it is working fine at 42 so I may just leave it there for a while.

im at 4.2ghz on the stock intel HSF and my max temp at 1.112v is 66c you have a h100i so should be getting less temps than me i would try a bios update.

Do you have AVX capable Linpack ticked in OCCT? my temps are a bit lower when i dont tick that. Otherwise I may have the voltage a bit higher than needed or my CPU isn't as strong.

i done the test both ways with it enabled then disabled.

disabled im lucky if i hit 55c i thought you needed it enabled to do the test properly i was following what tom does to test his.

i used to only use prime 95 im also using msi suite to monitor temps my ambient is 21c and msi tells me its reading it at 24c.

coretemp i found was not reading correctly but on there webpage i was told i needed to update it i have an older version :-/

its funny though that occt reads its exactly the same as msi suite so ill stick with what i know is working :D

using a 3770k/GD65 4.2/H100 7v swiftech helix (push) 1.125vcore @ 42°
ambient 25° with AVX enabled (presses CPU harder) using OCT temps and RealTemp

Scary similar rig with same case (minus the window)
The only gripe I have is that it's tough to hide the wires behind the mobo and get the back side closed. Well, without a modular PSU that is.

suggestion on TX and HX PSU and non-modular power supplies in general.

use more than 10 cable ties.. FD and many others do not supply enough cable
anchors on the motherboard tray to cinch the harnesses down.
