FPS Drop- Weird Lag Issue

Hey Guys! I am having a really weird issue on my PC which i cannot make any sense of what so ever. I have a 3770K on MSI Z77 GD-65, 16 GB Kingston HyperX Ram, 2x MSI Lightening 7970s twin fozr (CF Turned OFF), Samsung 830 256 GB SSD for OS and Games, 1 TB WD Green and 750 GB Toshiba drive for storage and a 850W Silent Pro CM PSU.

The issue I am having is that i went on holidays a month ago and when i came back my computer seemed to have weird errors relating to data access (I think it was a windows related issue so I decided to re install my computer back to Windows 7 x64 from Windows 8 Pro x64)

Before changing my windows I could stream DotA2, BF3, and whatever other game to twitch in 1080p 30fps without any lag in my games what so ever. But as soon as I installed Win 7 i noticed a VERY bad lag/stuttering in my games without even streaming anything! I thought I somehow messed up the installation and decided to go back to Win 8 (because i like to use my 24inch Touch Screen :P). This time the lag isint as BAD as it was before, I only have it when i stream DotA2 even if i only use 720p streaming. I checked the temps of GPU and CPU and they seem to be ok. I checked if i am maxing out anything and bottle necking it but that doesnt seem to the case either.

I also experience lag now if I am playing BF3 even without streaming and the FPS drops horribly if i go through heavy smoke or jump down from a cliff or something which requires fast and fluid motion. Firefox seems to freeze up if i try to watch 3 1080p streams but everything works perfectly on Chrome Canary (Beta-testing version of Chrome)

Can you guys please help me fix it ? I can use any diagnostic applications you want me to use and post the log files here

Hi,
try testing your Ram with (memtest86) Tho i don't think that will be the problem.

as i understand your computer freezes/drops fps when ur doing videocard heavy stuff. so i suggest you take out your 7970 , and test them 1 by 1 in system and see how that works out.
Hope this helps.

Most likely a driver problem. Win8 downloads most automatically. Win7 does not which may explain the bigger problems with it than win8.

Try one 7970 as stated as above. Though try Xfire'ing them at some point. Bit pointless to have both in there as non Xfire.
