Hi All,
I'm hoping someone here has the know-how to help me.
I am planning on upgrading in the next month, however a sudden fear has gripped me.
My Upgrade plans are as follows :
Motherboard - Foxconn P35A
Ram - Kingston HyperX PC2-8000(2gig)
CPU - E6750 Core 2 Duo
HDD - Seagate 250gb 16mb
Vid Card - XFX 8800GT XXX
PSU - Coolermaster Extreme Power 650W
Case - Coolermaster RC632S
Now the main reason for this thread is : Will this Foxconn motherboard support both the ram as well as the video card?
I Know its a Crossfire board, but currently there is no normal boards available in SA. So CAN I run a Nvidia based card on a crossfire? I'm not worried about the future. Worst case scenario ill upgrade to a Radeon next year, after they have released the 3000.
I have already emailed Foxconn and their reply was very basic "Sorry we havent tested either of these products, so we cannot say". Great help
Anyone that has any idea?
Also am I making a mistake with any of the products I am buying? I havent upgraded in 3 years.
