Fix the forum.

There are some essential tools missing ever since we changed to vBulletin.
We still need an Edit button that doesn't dissappear after x amount of minutes and a peripherals section. Ever since Jim stepped down this forum has really gotten alot worse.

And please get that giant add at the sides removed, it's fucking annoying.

I'd like proper image resizing.. since we are asking for stuff. My signature is really tiny, smaller than most peoples text sigs and yet the image is downsized. The message telling people it's too big is larger than the signatures width itself.

I have to admit this forum has depreciated over the last 4 months quite dramatically. I have gone from coming on this forum everyday to only when I have nothing else to do. It just doesn't feel right, it doesn't have that welcoming feel OC3D used to have :(

Same I've been using the forums less since they changed from IPB to vBulletin. vB really really sucks and I don't believe the hacking issues the forum had were because of IPB as the other IPB forums I visit (some much larger and in the public eye more than this one) were unaffected by any hacks.

Edit button was done on purpose.

Periph section we are not adding.

Ads are what pay the bills unless you want to pay to use the site.

Jim leaving has nothing to do with the changes, he hadnt really played any role with the site for some time.

The hacks were 100% IPB and we moved back to VB to keep everyone safe. I do agree with you the aesthetics of the site do still need some tweeks but there are only so many hours in the day. The most important thing is the site works and we are all here.

All I can say is things are in the pipeline and the site is in a much better plce than it has been for years. Just needs a bit of polish around the edges.

I don't want to be that guy that calls you out on this but really? If there were serious vulnerabilities in IPB it would be all over news sites and other prominent sites that use IPB like Neowin.net would be hacked too but they are not.

It was obviously some issue with your specific configuration of IPB, an oversight or a bug in the theme you were using and not the IPB software itself.

EDIT:// Thanks for fixing the image resize issue :D

Couldn't you atleast reduce the size of the ad? It's 50% of my screen <.<

It seems as though every post is bigger.
By having the top section dedicated to your name etc., instead of the old way where that was down the side, with the main bit of text on the right, every post is bigger than it was.
I thought we were trying to stop our scroll wheels needing to be replaced by getting smaller sigs?
Well, it's certainly made me delete the bulk of my sig.

We reduced sigs because people were writing books!

We have done it this way to allow better formatting for pictures, and sigs.

Ive also increased the BB code restriction within sigs.

Thats it for today though Ive got to get some testing done! :p
