First Water Cooling Build (Advice/Help Needed)

Hi everyone.

Been watching a lot of reviews about watercooling on youtube, and have decided to build my first setup.

i could do with just some general advise on a few things im unsure on.

My Setup is as follows,

Cpu: i7 2600k @4.5ghz
Cooler: Currently using Corsair H50
Case: Coolermaster Nvidia HAF-X
Gpu: Evga Gtx 570 (Soon to be Gtx 670 Ftw)
Motherboard: Gigabyte - Z68X-UD3H-B3
Fans: 3x 200mm 1x 230mm
Psu: Coolermaster 850watt
SSD x2: 120gb Agility 3, 120gb kingston hyperx
HDD: 3x 1tb Drives
Memory: 4x4gb Corsair Vengeance @ 1600mhz

Now what im considering is the following

XSPC Rasa 750 RS360 WaterCooling Kit
Mayhems X1 Premix Fluid for Water Cooling 1 Litre : Clear (x2)
Mayhems Dye 10ml Dropper Bottle : UV Yellow / Green
Coolermaster 120 x 120 x 25mm SickleFlow Green LED Case Fan (x6)
Phobya 6-32 UNC x 35mm Cross Head Screw 4 Pack (x3 Packs for extra fans)

Now this will only be for cooling my cpu only at the moment, my current temps with my H50 are around 33-37c Idle, and 65-70c running prime 95, ambient temps of around 20c vcore 1.29v Stable.

Im stuck really now on which fans to choose, im currently using 2x sickleflow with the h50, but is there a better fan for this setup.

Also i normally use artic silver 5 thermal paste, but i spotted this EK-TIM Indigo Xtreme, and watched a few reviews, but im still unsure if its worth the extra money, and by the looks of the videos on youtube, the burning in technique required after its applied looks risky.

Id appreciate any advise, as im planning on ordering it Friday for Saturday delivery, from specialtech, so any tips or changes would be appreciated.

There a number of fans that are better suited for your needs: Scythe Gentle Typhoons, Noctua NF-F12s, Corsair SP120 quiets, and even Bitfenix Spectres. Since you seem to have a green theme going, you can get the Spectres in green or you could easily spray the rings of the Corsairs to whatever shade that you want.

For thermal paste: Arctic Silver 5 is thermally conductive so if some drips from your CPU, say bye bye to your parts. The 2 best thermal pastes that I know are Noctua NT-H1 or Arctic MX-4. Both are non conductive and perform better. Hope I helped, as I'm just about to water cool my rig also.

The Silverstone AP seem pretty good too. Probably not as good as the GTs or the Noctuas, but the LEDs are very nice, and they're probably the best LED fan on the market

Im looking around the net now at the different fans you've suggested.

Also you are right, My PC has a very green theme going on, 4x Green Cathodes, 2x Green led strips, all fans have green leds, custom green HDD and power leds.

A tad overkill :) on the green, but while im at it, i might as well green the watercooling side as well.

Also as far as im aware artic silver 5 isn't conductive, ive researched this topic a few times.

Ps thanks guys for the quick responses, appreciating the advise.

Regarding the cathodes - I've had 3 kits in the past, with all three (all different brands) the inverters have always overheated and caught fire...

I'd strongly recommend more LEDs and leaving out the cathodes

Hmm caught fire, ive had these in my systems for years, and i must admit they do get very warm, something to think about, as there are 2 rigs upstairs in my house with these in, that tend to be switched on overnight.

Plus leds give a better light, depending on location, im still looking around at different fans, but im going to post my final build once ive researched to death :)

Ps my mistake

Arctic Silver 5 is slightly capacitive
and could cause problems if it bridged two close-proximity electrical paths

In the manual, big mistake on my part.
