Hey All,
I'm about to start my first PC build in quite some time and I need some help. I will be using this PC mostly for gaming with a budget of $1200US. I will be buying all my parts during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales to get the best deals, here is the parts i'm thinking about:
Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core
MSI Z77A-GD65 Gaming ATX LGA1155
G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB 2 x 4GB DDR3-1866
Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" SSD
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Asus GeForce GTX 770 2GB
Case Corsair 750D ATX Full Tower
Corsair 750W ATX12V
LG GH24NS95 DVD/CD Writer
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)
Here are some of the things I will be doing or am concerned about:
1. I do plan on getting a H100 and overclocking later.
2. I want to SLI in the future when my GPU starts to show it age but the motherboard only supports 8x and 8x in SLI. That doesn't sound like I will get much of a performance boost so can someone recommend a better one.
3. I want to play games at 1080p at maxed settings. I also want to know if I can go to a multiple monitor setup in the future, if I need a GPU with more ram.
4. Let me know if the processor is overkill, I was thinking games in the future would use more cores but if not I will get a 4670k.
5. I already have a monitor and I will probably get a cheaper mouse and keyboard for now until I can afford better ones later.
6. I will need a wireless card as well because a wired connection is not an option right now and I have no idea witch one to get.
Any advice/recommendations will be a great help, none of these parts are set so anything can be changed. I just want to be sure i'm getting the best parts I can for the best performance. This will be a lot of money spent for me so I want to get it right the first time. Thanks in advance for the help.
