First Proper Build. Need help!

Let me know what you guys think, if anything might need changing,

I have no idea about graphics cards but would this psu be good enough to run the card plus an overclock on the cpu?

More than enough - please can you send me a hyperlink to that ram so that I am able to check the specs of it over, Its reccomended that you get 1.5V ram.

anything 1.5v or lowers fine - Thats perfect.

wicked!!

and what do you think of the graphics card?

I would replace with PSU with a lower wattage unit because 750 watts is a lot for this system and change the NH-D14 for something less expensive and apply that money to getting a better graphics card.

disagree

getting a bigger psu is an investment for the future.

the psu is going to last much more than 5 years

how long will the gpu last?

atm im thinking of maybe antec 300 case?

what would you recommend for a cheap price?

you can get a Fractal Design Core 1000 Black Micro-ATX Chassis £25.99 inc. VAT, this case supports graphics cards up to 350mm, but I dont know if an NH-D14 will fit.

You have a good point however, if you only plan on running one card 650 watts would be more than enough for most high end graphics cards.

With that being said the price you have for the HX750 is a very good price.

true but sometime in the future he might want to sli or xfire, u never know ...

I agree, my suggestion was meant to increase the money available to build a more capable gaming system within the budget. That is why I suggested getting rid of the extra cost of a higher wattage PSU and the high price of the NH-D14 inorder to get a higher performing graphics card. The 7770 is not a great card for gaming.

i aint too worried about sli or xfire, i just want it to run games pretty stable on 1920x1080 resolution, is the GTX560 a good card for that?

the GTX 560ti is a good card for gaming and you should be able to play most games at high or very high settings.

wicked i might have to go with that then, i just seen a few videos on youtube and the card seems to run games very well!

i think im definitely gonna go with sandybridge as i seen the review for ivy and it does seem shit lol

Ive heard theres not much difference between the two apart from lower power consumption and a memory controller (imo dont care about them)

Just to put in my 2 pence..

For games you really want to be spending your dosh on the GPU not the CPU. I would recommend 2500k for £600 builds and over and AMD below that.

I wrote this for another thread:

If you take a look at the links you will see that spend the cash in the right place will get you a much better gpu the performance of a 7850 far exceeds a 570, let alone a 560 or 7770.

Gives you another option
