First clock for my new system

Right, i gave overclocking a little try and got my x2 3800+ to:

2500mhz on stock volts at 24*c. its on a 10x multi @ 250

memory is on a 3:2 divider as its old pc2700 generic rubbish. All other setting are automatic i think. System temp is 27*c also. At load it can get to around 40*c max

couldnt be bothered trying anymore at the moment.

Nice result mate, these are a great little unit for getting healthy overclocks from. You gotta be happy with that? :)

Gave it another go and went up to 2700mhz (stopped there so i could par with ionicle :D ) at vcore 1.425 but it crashed on loop 10 superpi on each core, so i called it a day

Ya, with at least single cores at least, you're pretty much allowed around .2 volts higher than stock with decent air cooling (maybe .1-.15 on the weak stock cooling), even more with solid w/c. Not too sure how dual cores are, but a little more volts should be perfectly fine.

I have an evo33 with fan on low and one 120mm fan (ive reduced it to this for the sake of my sanity) Get around 27*c idle @ 2500mhz and stock voltage. What do ya reckon i should increase my voltage too? UNless i get a fan controller, which isnt likely as i only have molez fans, the cooling will be staying this way.

And in Prime, what torturetest should i use out of the 3? i never know which one.

I assume stock vcore is 1.4v? Then you should probably be perfectly fine with 1.475-1.5 vcore or even 1.525 depending on temperatures at that vcore. If 1.35 is stock, 1.45-1.475 should be fine.

went to 2800 @ 1.5 vcore, but wasnt stable, so 2700 @ 1.475vcore is stable enough for now (and only 26*c idle)and yes, i did check that, the heatsink feels around that temp.
