First Build

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll tinker with it when I get home this weekend.

Any particular software to stress test so I can check the temps effectively?

The thing to remember about cable management is it is all about air flow around your case and keeping temps down. Even if you are using really ugly cables and the colours don't match it does not really matter as long as the air flow and temps are good.

Having said that your build for a first go is not too bad and you should be well pleased that it is up and running ok.

If you listen to the guys on this forum they can give you lots of good advice on making your PC look better.

What I do when I build a PC is get the thing up and running properly first and then tidy it up. That said I could probably save myself some money if I planed a bit better when appearance in mind before I started.

I opened it up yesterday to find that I had rearranged that cable after the initial picture was taken. I also moved all my fans so they blow into the case to create as much positive pressure as I could. I ran that test and my GPU temps didn't get above 45*

Which fans were blowing in? If you don't have dust filters on fans that are on intaking(like the rear 120mm fan),then positive pressure is worthless because its just sucking in dust the whole time...

I was thinking it would do that because the case has filters everywhere. Maybe I'll try flipping them to where they all blow out to see how that goes.

In your case(pun not intended) it would be best to have both 120mm fans in the front sucking air in(intake) and have the single 140mm fan pulling air out(exhaust) to better reach that positive pressure.

If you've got the time, try every config possible. :) Thorough testing is something that most people are too lazy to do, but you learn so much from it.

I'm rather pleased with how she's turned out. I finally bought all the components I wanted (recently added a Corsair H100i and 16db Corsair Dominator RAM) and added a little green LED strip. Too bad she sits under my desk so I can't see the inside all the time.

She needs a dusting! Nice rig though, love its so compact looking when all the cables are really tied down.
