Cheers guys.
The webshop I've ordered most of my parts at have received everything except the motherboard, which I expect they'll get tomorrow. That means I should have everything except for the CPU the day after tomorrow.
I'll then start working on replacing the fans in the case, etc. Unfortunately I still have to wait for the i7-3770k, which will be available starting the 29th of April.

Still debating how I'm going to mount the massive Phanteks cooler.. I think if I mount it so that the fans are blowing hot air upwards, out the top of the case, you might still see some of the G.Skill Ares ram. I think mounting it the "normal" way with the fans blowing towards the rear of the case will cover up all of the memory. Not sure what will look best, or what will even be possible. Suggestions?

That cooler does look nice - is it good tho ? (in relation to orientation, I'd stick it the way it gets out of the case quicker!)

There ya go :') OC3D's review is pretty much the only one that reports *slightly less awesome* temps than the D14. Having read the reviews I have (quite a lot) I'd say it's either on-par or slightly better performing than the D14 tbh. One thing is for sure though, it looks awesome and fits my colour scheme nicely! (I've got the orange version of course)
Regarding the mobo: remind me once the rig is finished. If you want, you can PM me then and I'll try to answer any questions you may have. It's highly regarded in all the reviews I've read though, so I'm not worried. Unless it's DOA of course, that would be just my luck

Yeah it should -kinda. However, I don't think of it as much of a project. It's a fairly straightforward build really. There's barely any modding going on etc. When I posted the thread I thought it would be done in a few days but due to IB not being available till today it's been delayed.
The Intel i7-3770K has been ordered! However, tomorrow is "Queen's Day" in The Netherlands which means shops will be closed which means my order won't get shipped yet which means I'm going to have to wait a bit longer. Oh well.

No mate I do not. It did beautifully the hour that I could test it lol.
Update: seems my components aren't fried, or at least not damaged to the point where they will not work! am writing this using KingPenguin and my lil brother's Corsair HX750w.
