Finally bit the bullet..

Not much to review on it besdies aesthetics. Unless of course you put a thermal probe under the IHS' of each chip.

Regardless, I'm glad I influenced your purchase XMS, it's a GREAT addition, especially if you have D9 @ >2.25v.

Thanks for ur help locating one in the states for me mate, greatly appreciated. I've been trying to find one since launch but none of the big name shops ever listed it.

Mine should be here in a few days!

w00t :)

Some bad news, it seems the complete jackass that I bought my video card shipped it from California in a bubble-wrap bag. Yes, a video card, from the other side of the country, in a bag.

We'll see what happens with THIS..

er!!! I had the same type of thing happen when I bought the LV Xeon's for the OC3D server. The nubhat literally threw the procs in the box with one turn of the small dinky bubblewrap and then

ed the huge heavy solid copper heatsinks in with em and then didnt secure em!!!! So basically the heatsinks just anhiliated the processors during the journy.

I hate people that don't know how to pack stuff properly. They think that people actually handle their package and will take care of it. Can you say HIGH SPEED CONVEYER BELTS WITH PNEUMATIC PACKAGE "SLAPPERS".

Wow, best of luck man, I hope it arrives in one piece for you!

Yep. My dad works at the main USPS branch, sorting mail and the like.

He said that Parcels ( packages ) go thru automated equipment into a large container and then gets lifted up and dumped out onto a moving belt and then up to the keying stations. There after the clerk keys it to the correct spot , The parcels automatically slides of the belt into the correct bag. The bag is replaced when the weight hits 50 lbs.

i once had a video card sent regular mail in an envelope with napkins as cushioning... it made me really mad... and the package was like split in half... i didn't even have to rip open the package, the video card practically fell out... but it was junk so i didn't care..

Getting the damn USMA plate back on. My blocks weird. Most of the people I talked to said theres fit over loosely. I bent my AM2 one putting it on last time, so I decided against using my hands this time and tried pliars. Slipped, ripped off a chunk of delrin. Ugh.

Got'er @ 3.5GHz 1.53v BIOS, 1.47v Idle Windows. Gotta bust out the DMM later. Ram is @ 1000, 5-5-5-15 @ 2.25v. Won't run 4-4-4-12 @ 2.35v, mefinks it's RMA time.

Anyway, I might post up some benchies later :)

Pardon the lot of stupid pictures up there, I'm feeling really lazy now since I just got the whole thing working and I just want to relax now.

EDIT: yeah, that block is leak free. !! :D Fixed it with some tub and tile caulk, and a lot of luck.

Very nice Nick, good work. Think I'd better lap my IHS too

That E6300 seems to have some go in it, better than my damn E6600 anyway :(

Not too keen on the stickers but very clean apart from that :D

Thnx guys. @ Ai, you know it. Represent! Petras FTW!

BTW... heres a quick bench.

Dominated my old SLi score!
