FF7 for PS3?

This has been around/roumoured for a while. One of (if not the) best games of all time. If a true-to-original remake did emerge it would push me to buy a ps3.

Unfortunatly they started going down hill after 9, and i spect its just a demo and will remain so.

Ok behave.... 8 was truly good!! It was bloody good.. I actually thought it was my favourite. I went back to 7 again and even with the poo graphics its still amazing.. If you think yourself a FF fan then you really have to play FF7.. Just buy it off ebay or something for like a quid.

Will float your boat!!
 
FF8 was great, and the minigame (the card-thingy) was rather cool when you got the hang of it.

FF9 was okay but lacked in story and the characters were too uninteresting.

FF10 was okay, but didn't quite catch me, and at the time I didn't actually like the voices.

FF12 was great and the ATB rocked. Haven't actually played through it yet, but I guess I will one day. :P

Now, as for FF7, as I said earlier, is the greatest game ever made. It had it all, catchy soundtrack, cool characters, and the best story ever made, plus the materia-system was awesome. The graphics on the characters were pretty shoddy, but the landscapes were fantastic. I've maybe put around 500 hours of gametime into it, and I'll probably give it a go one more time. And if it comes out on PS3, I'll be forced to buy one. I can't even imagine how it would look like, but of course, they should let everything else be as it were.
 
8, i loved the card game more than the actual game, if they could improve the graphics, it would be amazing......

and 10 wasnt that bad...the graphics were quite good too, they should just cram them all on a blu ray disk, there's enough space...and sell it :)

7, 8, 9 and 10 :)
 
A remake of FF7 or 8 with state of the art graphics would be the best thing to ever happen to me..... no joke
 
FFVII, the best FF of all time.. till you actually go back and play it again >.<

It`s retro madness really, there`s many a brilliant game from way back - then you look at it again 50 years later.. and it blows.

Just keep the memory of it being good, and don`t dig it back up :)

If it`s getting some revampage - knock yourself out!
 
I don't think I'll be disappointed at all, cause I know exactly how it is, and the graphics (backgrounds etc, not the characters) were mindblowing when it was released (at least imo). ;)
 
Yep it does look horrible when going back to it but I had to finish it when I went back to it as when I was younger every time I got to the last boss fight with the 1 save in the crater my memory card kept wiping. Over 100 hours game play lost TWICE so I gave up for 8 years or so.

Went back and yeah did look poo poo but gameplay and story was just as good as ever and after a few hours you get over the graphics and forget they aren't very good. All I'd say is don't go playing Crysis in between start and finish of FF7 or it'll look bad all over again.
 
This is my all time favorite game EVER. When i read the back of the case where it says in quotes "Quite possibly the best game ever made" I just sorta look at it and nod. I absolutely love this game and i would sell a guitar or 2 if i had to to buy it and a PS3 if it was remade.

Ive played all the way through and beat it including the 2 American WEAPONS well over 10 times at least. I cant stop loving this game at all.
