Few questions...

Hey guys,

I don't normally post things on this forum, as I read them instead !

I'm about to get a new case, and I'm going to upgrade my watercooling as I can finally house something decent. I'm getting a massive Black Ice GTX 480 and it's to cool my CPU (i5 760 @ 4ghz) but I was wondering if I would possibly be able to stick my GTX 460 graphics card on it as well. I know a 480 is a bit overkill for a CPU, even overclocked, but I guess I know I'll be well safe in the temperature zones

. The only thing I was wondering would be that if I do decide to add my graphics onto it, would it be capable and not affect the CPU temperatures too much.

I also plan to stick some 1850rpm Scythe Gentle Tyhoons on them... how do people rate them ?

Regards

You could stick another 460 and a motherboard into that loop and everything will still be within safe temps. Just wondering what case are you getting that supports a 4x120mm rad?

EDIT: With regards to the fans, they are really quiet, the cfm and pressure should make it a great fan for water cooling loops.

Sweeeet. I'm getting a TJ07, sticking the 480 at the bottom, but I may just downgrade it to a 360, or should I just get a 480 "because I can" ? Even with a 360 I'd have to move the PSU to the 2nd slot and have it behind as I believe I can't run it next to each other. I guess what I'm really saying is that I just want to futureproof it for whatever I throw at it, and instead of having a smaller radiator with more fans, I'll get just one row of fans and a larger radiator

(does it work like that ? haha)

What are your overall thoughts on a 480 or should I just stick a 360 at the bottom

There's no such thing as overkill, since you can never be too careful.

But you'll save some money with a 3x120 i guess your choice.

Thanks for the input dude. I'm just pondering over sticking with my bitspower barbs or getting some compressions. I might just play safe and stick with the barbs I already got. I've bought some new hose so I can just splice them off.

EDIT: Really quick edit - I have a LaingDDC-1T Pump (440lph) with an XSPC V3 acrylic top. Will that be sufficient for a massive 480 radiator or would I need something that's a little more powerful (I hope not as this is something I'm saving from my current build)
