Few questions about the clan

Hi

I am building a new rig on june 26th (End of exams) and i have a few questions about clans.

I have played FPS's for ages now, but just got a shiny new super fast broadband, so thought id gice CS:S a go on my new rig.

I have previoulsy played lots of the battlefied series online, but need to try something new.

Just was wondering what i needed to do to join the "clan", do you have requirements etc.

Hey mate. I'm afraid experience is the biggest requirement for being in the clan.

We have an A team and a B team, but both teams are very good, and I don't think there are any spaces in either team at the moment.

Play on our public servers lots, kill us soooo much we get annoyed, and then ya may get head hunted by one of the clan leaders

We are currently inactive in ED but will be starting up again soon. Before we went inactive we were ranked fairly high (around 950 points iirc). Unfortunately being able to kill people on public servers isn't quite the same as playing in a team, once youre comfortable playing the game, by all means idle in our IRC channel and get hold of us on steam friends and we'd be more than happy to have you as a 5th in some fun mixes

CS:S imo just requires a lot of experience (ive been playing stop start for 2 years (2 and a half inc 1.6)) - You stop for a while and u start to suck lol...plus it helps to change rates etc. as valve thought it was a good idea to provide the germans/french with a little tool called the console...This thing will be your main weapon in CSS - Why the hell did they make it so useable for normal people and so necessary...You get a lot of people pretty unhittable as they tamper with reg etc. in the development console basically

some main requirements are..

UK based, currently we only have UK based clans

experience IN MATCHES. dnt confuse public play with match play. although we have trained up newbies in the past, we now have 2 pretty established teams, and are looking for experienced players

dont know how everyone else feels but personally i like people who use IRC. it helps for organising. #overclock3d on quakenet.

but we are all pretty decent guys, and dont mind pubbing with people. just give us a shout.

Hehe yeah I love my weekend bash. Feel free to come on when I'm on, I'm always looking for peeps to come on with me. Mind you I'm only on there for a friendly bit of competition, nothing more, as my ping doesn't allow it.

As the lads have already said just play on our servers alot to become noticed. As Dave has already mentioned OC3D have trained up newbies in the past like myself but I dont think anyone simply has the time anymore.

Alot of us do mixing alot though so just stick around the game servers and try and keep active around IRC and Teamspeak.

Im using at the moment, and i must say it is AWORESOME.

Its so easy to type and the lcd and media cotrols are great.

The macro keys are really useful.
