My next upgrade kit is listed below. What experiences have you guys had with ASROCK.

ASROCK X58 Extreme $200

Core I7 950 $325

G.Skill DDR3 1600 triple channel 6GB kit $160

Total for the above would be $685.00

Is it worth going this????

My experience with ASrock is negative, but I know AlienALX loves ASrock.

Not sure how their new stuff is, haven't used ASRock in at least 3 years. The boards I have dealt with have had stability issues. Random crashes, BSOD, etc. They were cheap boards though < $100.

I had a ASROCK VSTA board and it was a great board for its money but I also heard people that had major problems with it,

same is with this X58 board seeing people with great results others are in the Poo area

So its like flip a coin

Hey TTL, What board would you suggest as far as best bang for buck. Not the UD9 as I don't want an XL-ATX board.

Asrock are great for building cheap systems that you either don't plan to overclock OR want a very slight overclock on. They are priced accordingly so a 'horse for course'.

However, extreme performance they ain't. Get a decent board.

i think the people who make asrock boards are people who did work for asus

Asrock were founded by people that worked for Asus yes. They went off to start up a budget board company

Guys as always, your comments and feedback are always appreciated. I like the P6T deluxe also so I will do some more hunting around for prices. I will let you know what I find. Hey everyone, have a gr8 weekend. Long weekend on Monday for us also in Sydney (love 3 day weekends).
